GenVoters, we need your help.

The USPS has proposed changes that could make it harder for millions of people, including students and young voters, to vote by mail.

These changes could require states to share voter data with the federal government and create new barriers that put mail ballots at risk of not being delivered or counted.

🚨 Here’s what we need from you: the USPS is accepting public comments, and we need to tell them that students and young people are opposing the propsed changes. Submitting a comment only takes a few minutes. You don’t need to be a policy expert, just tell the USPS why protecting vote by mail matters to you. Short, personal comments are often the most powerful.

Head to the link in our bio to use the easy comment submission tool and make your voice heard before the July 2 deadline!

🚨 NEW YORK GENVOTERS SHOWED UP 🚨

On Election Day earlier this week, GenVoters were out as nonpartisan poll monitors across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens making sure every eligible voter had the opportunity to cast their ballot safely and without issue and have it counted.

Our youth poll monitors answered voters’ questions, documented and reported any issues at polling places, and helped ensure New Yorkers could vote with dignity, free from fear, intimidation, or unnecessary barriers.

This work wouldn’t have been possible without our partners in the Hands Off Our Vote New York Election Protection Coalition. Huge shoutout to every volunteer who monitored the polls and everyone who staffed the Election Protection Command Center throughout the day.

We’re already gearing up for the general election this fall. 👀 Want to become a Youth Poll Monitor?

SCOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Act and states are already redrawing maps to weaken the voting power of Black and Brown voters ahead of the 2026 election. If the impact of Louisiana v Callais isn’t in on your radar yet, that’s exactly what these anti-voter politicians are betting on.

Ngl, this one hurt. Here’s why you shouldn’t move on from this disastrous decision and join us to protect free & fair relations this year (links in bio).

Our work is just getting started.

The U.S. Senate is back from recess and we’re going to make sure that they don’t stop hearing from young people and students about how horrible the SAVE Act is.

We know that this bill will make it harder, if not impossible, to vote for millions of young people across the country. If you want to join GenVote and our youth allies in stopping the SAVE Act, use the bit.ly link in the video (and below) to get updates on how young people and students can plug into the fight to stop SAVE ⬇️

Last month, I had the honor of traveling to Selma, Alabama with the Workers Circle’s young adult delegation to commemorate Bloody Sunday and reflect on the legacy of those who fought, and sacrificed, for the right to vote. We spent a few days learning, grounding ourselves in the history of the Civil Rights Movement, and visiting powerful sites like the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, all while connecting the lessons of the past to the fights we’re in right now.

Marching across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, I paused at the top and felt the full weight of the history of Bloody Sunday and the Civil Rights Movement. Standing there, I was reminded that I’m not just an individual organizer, but part of a lineage, a next generation of leaders carrying forward the work to fight for the right to vote and a just democracy for all.

That truth feels especially urgent right now. As attacks on voting rights continue across the country, young people are stepping up to fight for our democracy just like those before us did. And being in Selma reminded me that while the fight continues today, we’ve won before and we will win again.

“The Save America Act is not about election integrity, it is about election weaponization…. Students move frequently, every new dorm, every new apartment means another trip to an election office just to stay registered. That is not a minor inconvenience. That is a barrier specifically designed to keep us out of the ballot box.”

📞 Call Senators TODAY (833-346-1779) to demand they vote NO on this ugly anti-student, anti-trans, anti-voter bill. Link in bio if you want to get involved in our movement of young people fighting for voting rights and a just democracy for all ✊🏽

BREAKING: Students from ask Senator Rick Scott why he supports a bill that would steal the right to vote for over 8 million voters in Florida.

What’s “complete crap” is misleading propaganda that the so-called “SAVE” Act is just a “voter ID” law. This bill is a desperate attempt to rig the 2026 elections by allowing mass voter purges, forcing states to give sensitive data to DHS and DOGE, and creating a modern day poll tax for millions of eligible voters. If passed, the so-called “SAVE Act” would go into effect immediately and require every single American citizen to track down documents like a birth certificate or passport every time they register or re-register to vote.

We’re sparking a movement of young people fighting for our right to vote and a just democracy for all, which means mobilizing hundreds of young people to protect voting rights and defend free and fair elections from authoritarian power grabs like the “SAVE” Act.

The “SAVE” Act SUCKS ‼️‼️GenVoters and students from joined our allies at and for a powerful rally to demand the U.S. Senate reject the most dangerous voter bill in our lifetime.

This week, the MAGA faction in the Senate are forcing a week- long theatrics to debate the so-called “SAVE Act”. If passed, the bill would mandate all eligible voters track down documents like a birth certificate or passport (which can cost up to $165) to sign up to vote AND provide a photo ID at polling places.

For the past year, GenVoters have been at the forefront of the fight to stop this modern day poll tax for millions of eligible voters. Use the links in bio to email Senators and join our movement of young people fighting for voting rights and free, fair elections 🔥
