34th Precinct Auxiliary Police Unit "Eyes and Ears" WHAT IS AN AUXILIARY POLICE OFFICER? They serve as the "eyes and ears" of the NYPD and report activity that require police action.

Auxiliary Police Officers are civic minded citizens or residents who volunteer their time to the Police Department. They provide additional police presence by conducting in uniform, foot and vehicle patrols in high crime areas as well as assist in H.O.W { House of worship } patrol during riligious holidays and also street festivals and Citywide parades. Auxiliary Police Officers are equipped with the same Police Radios that the NYPD officers use when on patrol. Therefore you are directly linked to regular police officers at all times.
