We develop whole teens ready to realize their potential. We believe in young people and their potential – no matter their circumstances. We help youth overcome the cycles of poverty linked to teenage pregnancy through prevention and support programs that help them take charge of their lives, be positive, active members of their families, communities & society, lead & be examples to other young peo
ple. Our teen family support programs offer comprehensive care – education, employability and mental health services – for teen mothers who are in foster care, homeless, or adjudicated. We also run programs to support and engage teen fathers. We help young parents who face tough odds build strong families. Our prevention programs work to empower young people to build confidence, skills and information to help them make choices that help them realize their dreams. Inwood House provides a wide range of services to improve life-long outcomes for thousands of youth from vulnerable communities in New York City and New Jersey. We work with K-12 students, pregnant and parenting teens and their children. We work to develop them as whole people, supporting their health, mental health, education, family & community relationships, self-esteem, personal goals and talents, employability, and tools to evaluate and make choices. Inwood House is a source of hope, guidance and opportunity. We create safe, supportive, non-judgmental environments where teenagers can thrive.
