“We demand investigation by the United Nations — not excuses from Israel.”
Following the heinous attacks against Indonesian peacekeepers serving with UNIFIL on 29–30 March 2026, which claimed the lives of three soldiers and injured five others, Indonesia has called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on 31 March 2026.
Indonesia 🇮🇩 calls on the Security Council to act and deliver:
1️⃣ A prompt, thorough, and transparent investigation by the United Nations, with full accountability for the perpetrators.
2️⃣ Safe and dignified repatriation of the fallen, the best possible medical care for the injured, and an immediate halt to all attacks through firm guarantees from all parties.
3️⃣ A clear, strong, and unified voice from the Security Council to condemn these attacks and implement urgent measures to protect all United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon personnel.
Ambassador Umar Hadi 🇮🇩was heartened by the pouring of condolences and solidarity from the Members of the Council and wider international community.
