🚨 CSA PICKUP CANCELLED TODAY 🚨

Hi CSA family! There will be NO CSA pickup today, Wednesday, September 9th.

Our farm partners at Chester and BQE Farms are currently doing barn construction, which means we won’t have our usual farm food delivery this week.

We know how much you look forward to your fresh veggies each week, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience!

CSA pickup resumes next Wednesday, September 16th, 3–7 PM at Sixth Street Community Center.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our farmers!

Join us at Sixth Street Community Center as we celebrate a living legend, Charlie Rosario and show him our gratitude for his many contributions to the Loisaida community, Latin Music as a whole, and so much more! You can say hello to Charlie himself if you join us on Saturday 9/5 right here at Sixth Street. We thank Charlie Rosario for sharing his gifts over the years, allowing us to display some of his one of a kind art, and for bringing together so many artists, friends, and fans in his honor. We are eager to show our appreciation by raising funds, selling some of his beautiful merch, and hosting a memorable celebration like only we can! We hope to see you there!

We’ll have Watermelon Agua Fresca at pickup today, made with watermelons harvested at Home Farm! 🍉💦 Shoutout to Coming Home Seeds for the summer sweetness!

This week’s share is packed with watermelon, purple potatoes, corn, onions, tomatoes, basil, garlic, peppers, and watercress or callaloo!

Last week, our amazing members took home a beautiful harvest from our Chester Agricultural Center & BQE member farms: summer squash, cherry tomatoes, spring onions, cilantro, shish*to peppers, celery, and molokhia!

We also shared a delicious traditional Palestinian recipe featuring molokhia grown by Saboon Maazeh

Our CSA is about more than fresh produce. It’s about supporting local farms, strengthening food access, sharing food traditions, and bringing communities together.

Every Wednesday, we gather, share, learn, and celebrate the season together!

And this week, we have fresh apples and Triple J Farm eggs back again!

Fresh food should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Our CSA accepts SNAP/EBT to help make locally grown produce available to all.

Join us tonight for an important community conversation about food access in the Lower East Side. 🌱💚

Our friends at the LES ECOLOGY CENTER will be sharing the findings of a community-led food access investigation in Manhattan’s Community Board 3, drawing on resident surveys, focus groups, and neighborhood resource mapping. Together, we’ll explore what these findings mean and discuss opportunities to build a more equitable, community-centered food system.

Whether you’re a longtime resident, community organizer, gardener, food justice advocate, or simply care about making healthy food more accessible, your voice matters.

CSA Share- Week 7!

Here’s a look at this week’s beautiful CSA share, filled with fresh, seasonal produce grown by our incredible network of small New York farms.

We’re proud to partner with BQE Coalition (BQExpressway Coalition) to bring our LES community high-quality, locally grown food while supporting BIPOC- and Queer-led farms across New York.

This week’s share includes kale, green onions, green garlic, summer squash, fennel, cabbage, za’atar, lemon balm, and fresh salad mix.
