A grease trap violation costs more than the fine. The re-inspection wait, the shutdown, the scrutiny on every visit after. We broke down what it actually costs a restaurant and how you can avoid this expensive mistake.

NYC grease trap violations carry real penalties, and they add up fast if the same issue shows up on a second inspection. But owners who've been through it will tell you the check they write to the city isn't the part that hurts.

Fall is when roots go looking for water, and your sewer line has plenty. If roots backed you up last year, snake the line now. Not sure what's down there? Our camera finds it without digging up one grain of dirt. 718-729-3018 or https://alcesspool.com.

The oil barrels piling up out back aren't just a storage problem, they're a pickup waiting to happen. Every barrel we take goes through A&L Recycling, the only grease waste transfer station in New York City. Grease in, biodiesel out.

A new location means a new health inspection, and a grease trap that's never been serviced isn't a strong first impression. Get the contract set up before opening week, not after the first inspector visit.

One less thing to figure out while you're still hanging the sign - contact us at 718-729-3018 or https://alcesspool.com/ to set it up before you open.

Leaves and storm runoff back up catch basins every October, and most facilities teams don't find out until the water has nowhere else to go. A basement flood after a storm usually traces back to a catch basin that was already full before the rain started.

Clearing it now costs a fraction of clearing it during a flood. If you manage more than one building, that's one call to check all of them before the next storm makes the decision for you. Call 718-729-3018 or visit https://alcesspool.com/ to schedule service.

Most restaurant owners find out what they were supposed to have on file the day a health inspector asks for it. We wrote up exactly what gets checked on grease trap paperwork, so you're not finding out the hard way.
