NDMS DMAT MA-1 The personnel are activated for a period of two weeks.

Massachusetts-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team is a cadre of professional and para-professional medical personnel designed to provide medical care during a disaster or other event. DMATs are designed to be a rapid-response element to supplement local medical care until other Federal or contract resources can be mobilized, or the situation is resolved. DMATs deploy to disaster sites with sufficie

nt supplies and equipment to sustain themselves for a period of 72 hours while providing medical care at a fixed or temporary medical care site.

MA-1 is engaged in the Florida Keys providing medical care to the people of Monroe County. All deployed team members are safe and healthy. There is no cell coverage in the area so please share with friends and family to know that all are well.
