Young Democrats of America Jewish Caucus announces endorsement for Congressman Keith Ellison (MN.) to be elected the next DNC Chair.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The executive board of the Young Democrats of America Jewish Caucus is pleased to announce with over 2/3rd’s of the majority vote that we endorse Congressman Keith Ellison (MN.) to be elected the next Chair of the Democratic National Committee in Atlanta the weekend of February 23-26th, 2017.

“In the course of his campaign, Congressman Keith Ellison has provided bold and innovative visions to put in place as the next chair of the DNC, things in these times we so desperately need. His ideas for a 3,143 county-specific strategy and background in organizing and fundraising will be enormously helpful in helping Democrats win sweeping victories in 2018 and beyond. We also appreciate his reaching out to the Young Democrats of America organization overall, and enjoyed hearing him speaking at our winter meeting in Memphis in December,” caucus chair Michelle Elmer said. “Congressman Ellison is the kind of progressive leader that will stand up and implement the structure and resources that will help young Jewish Democrats like ourselves organize in our communities and stand up for our values.”
