SAGE NYC SAGE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people as they age. This This page is to serve SAGE's constituency in New York City.

SAGE Centers are centers for le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, and questioning (LGBTQ+) older people age 60+ in New York City—the first centers of their kind in the country. Founded in 2012 as part of New York City's Innovative Senior Center initiative and expanded citywide in 2014, SAGE's Senior Center program provides a comprehensive array of unique services and programs related to arts and culture, fitness, food and nutrition, health and wellness, and lifelong education for LGBT elders. Most sites include a meal program.

The Healing Edit: Sip & Create 🥂

Presented by Nairee’s House and hosted by Stephanie Shelton, LMSW, The Healing Edit is a creative wellness experience designed for Black women. Participants will design their own one-of-a-kind jewelry piece with instructor Evelyn Jimenez of Spirit in Motion NYC, connect with other women, and enjoy light refreshments and alcohol-free mocktails. A space to slow down, reconnect, and make space for something new.

In this vibrant portrait of q***r paradise Fire Island Pines, past and present blur as the iconic beach town bands together to celebrate its legacy and redefine itself for a new, inclusive era.

A Q&A post-screening will be hosted by Travis Greisler, featuring filmmaker Brian J Smith to discuss the making of the film and the complexities of Fire Island.
