Last week, some of our 8th-grade girls had the opportunity to tour not one but TWO elite all-women’s colleges. Students met with one of our alumni who attends Mount Holyoke and toured Smith College with alum Ms. Haynes! They got to see classrooms, dorms, had a tour from a professor, and much more.

At the end of the day, one student said, “I can see myself going to college now.” At Launch we believe ALL students should envision great things for their futures. Thanks to Ms. Haynes and Ms. Reno for setting up this amazing day!

We are so lucky that took the time to come chat with our basketball team about his book This Thing Of Ours, which they’ve been reading in crew. He talked about life and dreams beyond the court, how he was inspired to become a writer, finding the right people to surround yourself with, and so much more 📚📝

The Launch Uniform Pop up shop is live! Link in our bio. The pop up shop will close on April 26.

Our pop-up store will feature a variety of unique items such as windbreakers, sweats, shirts, and more.

All merchandise is limited, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. All orders will be available for pick up at the MS and HS on New Family Welcome Night.

8th graders had the opportunity to attend a Social Studies related field trip to the Museum of the City of New York!

Here students viewed and analyzed various forms of art, including: photography and other historical artifacts related to activism and social justice.

They connected learning to our yearlong theme centered around RESISTANCE during times of oppression of both the past and present.

Young, Gifted, and Black

This Black History Month, we celebrated the brilliance, creativity, and power of our youth. “Young, Gifted, and Black” is more than a theme it’s a reminder that our voices matter, and our future is limitless.

From honoring the trailblazers who paved the way to uplifting the next generation Our celebration was about pride, culture, and community. Seeing everyone shine, learn, and celebrate together made this moment truly special.

A huge thank you as well to the amazing team who worked so hard behind the scenes to bring everything together. Your dedication, creativity, and commitment made this celebration possible.
