New installation at LGA Terminal B!

Super excited to finally see the LGA letters done and installed in the new terminal B at ..Here is the letter L which showcases the New York Pavillion from the 1964 worlds fair..Growing up in Flushing Queens I would spend many days wandering Flushing Meadow Park. I also included one of my early iconic light bulb faces. Thank u and specially for all the work it took to bring this project to life.

"The famous New York State Pavilion is included in the project because of its association with Architect Philip Johnson and artists Robert Indiana, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol, all of whom identified as gay or bisexual."

“It goes well beyond the obvious neighborhoods of Greenwich Village and places in Manhattan.”

A question from one of our members - "Im just curious, what is the fate of the pavilion? They were supposed to publish a second study in 2011, yet I cant find anything about it."

The Pavillion still sits rotting away with no definite plan on what to do with it or how to develop and restore it. The theater next to it is still used and the main structure is checked for stability every 6 months. The elevator frozen half way up one of the towers was recently taken down for safety reasons. The Terrazzo floor on the inside is ruined, but some of the tiles are apparently being restored.
