Recently came across this Keith Haring mural near Hudson Square. I had walked past this abandoned pool countless times, but never knew there was a Haring mural on this wall. It’s pretty amazing up-close.

Trinity Boxing Club has two locations and this one was really interesting because it faces the start of Trimble Place which spans exactly one block between Duane Street and Thomas Street.

A glorious Sunday evening in Redhook, Brooklyn amongst historic homes walking towards the sunset.

A truly magnificent building on 100th Street between West End Avenue and Broadway. The architectural elements were truly remarkable - so much so that is stopped me in my tracks!

The Gramercy Park neighborhood, commonly called just “Gramercy,” is a neighborhood I need to spend some more time in. I couldn’t believe the sheer amount of brownstones in just a few blocks.

I also loved the different types of historic elements that some of the buildings have. It’s very unusual to see single-story buildings in Manhattan and I saw quite a few in these few blocks.

Spent a lovely afternoon on Governor’s Island, which has a tremendous amount of history. They have a done a great job preserving much of the history, while also ushering in a new chapter of innovation of development.

A lovely spring day to people-and-building-watch. I went for some more landscaped shots today since my usual takes are a bit more close up. I especially thought utilizing the pedestrian bridge provided a nice height element.

A marvelous day to walk through Tribeca. Although I had seen many of these buildings before, I hadn’t paid close attention to the entryways and sills. Some buildings have incredible architecture starting at the doorway to enter. The Mercantile Building (videoed first) oozes grandiose.

Many of you may have noticed noticed I tend to gravitate towards “the end of streets.” These are no exception. Many of these are found at the intersection of Beach Street and West Broadway. Many of the buildings are quite short and on the smaller side, lending itself to a sort of village feel.
