Seastar Services, Inc.is a 501(c)3 organization that seeks to uniquely serve those in need, primarily children, by identifying areas that cause discomfort in regions all over the world. Working with communities to obtain basic human welfare and rights by organizing those who are able to help is a key goal for SSI. Seastar Services feels a responsibility to share what we have with others who have little or none and plan to move the organization to the forefront of social assistance by helping many. Our current focus is working in the region of Haiti that was devastatingly affected by massive earthquakes in 2010. Haiti is a small country that has experienced extreme poverty in its history and the earthquake that was heard around the world in 2010 still leaves Haiti in a state of emergent need of help. In 2010 Seastar Services, Inc ambassadors and Director Reverend Deborah Jackson made a special mission trip to tour the devastation in Haiti where they found the Children of Promise Orphanage. Fifty children were found living in mildewed tents wearing ill fitting clothing and many without shoes. Some children had not returned to school because of improper clothing to wear and food was scarce as it was for many in the region.
