Stroke Club/ Stroke Warriors of Northern Manhattan Our stroke support groups serve stroke survivors and their family, friends, and care partners. Membership is free and open to all! Who are we? What do we do?

Members of Stroke Warriors have been affected by all types of stroke, including Moyamoya disease. Our members also include family, friends, and others involved in the stroke survivor’s support system. We meet tri-monthly in a warm and open environment. We share our stories, thriving strategies, and empower each other. We invite experts in many fields to speak to the group. including: Neurologists

, Dietitians/Nutritionists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Nurses, Religious/ Spiritual Leaders, Pharmacists, and many more! Meetings are held in both Spanish and English. Please contact us to find out which meeting might be best for you! Where and when do we meet? The second Friday of each month at 3pm, on the 16th floor, room 104 of Harlem Hospital Center (506 Lenox Ave at 135th street) A light lunch is served! Two meetings are held each month at the Columbia Community Partnership for Health Center located at 390 Ft. Washington Ave, between 177th and 178th Streets. Refreshments are served! We had Columbia University InTOuCH Community Health Worker Trainees come provide us free of charge health screenings (A1C, Blood Pressure, BMI) and health counseling.

We also had physical therapists visit us and provide us tools for safely navigating uneven surfaces, trip hazards, in order to not fall!
