We were honored to frame Martha Diamond’s works on paper for her exhibition at Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere, Finland. This is the first solo exhibition of Diamond’s work in Europe and the largest presentation of her work to date, bringing together more than 70 paintings, works on paper, and archival material from across her career.
Diamond (1944–2023) lived and worked in New York for most of her life, spending more than five decades in her Bowery loft. The city was a constant presence in her work. Its architecture, light, scale, and energy became the subject of paintings that moved between recognizable views of New York and abstraction.
It is very special to see Diamond’s work brought together on this scale, and we’re proud to have had a small part in the exhibition through the framing of these works on paper.
On view at Sara Hildénin taidemuseo | Sara Hildén Art Museum through January 17, 2027.
