The youngest of the three NYC DOT East River suspension bridges, construction began on October 1, 1901 and was completed in 1910.

Manhattan Bridge Notice:

NYC DOT will continue the maintenance and rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with lane closures from May 22nd to 26th. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through May. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

NYC DOT will continue the maintenance and rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with lane closures from May 1st to 6th. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through May. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

Manhattan Bridge Notice:

NYC DOT will continue the maintenance and rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with the following lane closures from April 17th to 22nd. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through April. The bike and pedestrian path will be narrowed at work zones for a maximum of fifty feet. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

NYC DOT will continue the maintenance and rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with the following lane closures from April 10th to 15th. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through April. The bike and pedestrian path will be narrowed at work zones for a maximum of fifty feet. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

Manhattan Bridge Notice:

NYC DOT will continue the maintenance and rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with the following lane closures from February 27th to March 3rd. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through February and March. The pedestrian path continues to be narrowed at work zones for a maximum of fifty feet.

At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
