Today, President Trump has ordered the expulsion of 60 Russians from the United States after similar actions have been taken by western allies. These actions have been in response to allegations against Russia regarding the poisoning of a former Russian spy in Britain.

This expulsion is the toughest action taken against Russia by President Trump, who has been criticized for not being firm enough with President Vladimir Putin.

The expulsion order included 12 people identified as Russian intelligence officers stationed at the United Nations. The Russian consulate in Seattle also must close.

Shortly after the Parkland, FL school shooting, President Trump had said he would pursue raising the age limit to purchase assault rifles from 18 to 21. However, after a meeting with the N.R.A., the President has backed down from this proposal, and instead is now focusing on strengthened background checks, the banning of bump stocks, and arming teachers with guns as ways to protect students from school shootings.

In your opinion, would these measures, specifically arming teachers, be effective to protect against school shootings? What consequences could there be, and would they outweigh the benefits?

In a pair of tweets, President Trump cited “not much political support” now to move ahead with his pledges after the deadly mass school shooting in Florida.

President Trump has signed in two proclamations which impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum. Steel imports will be taxed at 25% and aluminum imports at 10%. Canada and Mexico are exempt from the tariffs until U.S. officials can assess progress toward a new North American Trade Deal. Several other countries may gain exemption as well after negotiations with the administration.

The plan still being finalized hours before the president’s promised announcement.

Recently, South Korea has conveyed news to the US that Kim Jong-un is willing to abandon his country's nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees from the US. With some skepticism and guarded optimism, President Trump tweeted "The World is watching and waiting! May be false hope, but the U.S. is ready to go hard in either direction!".

The North told South Korean envoys it is willing to negotiate with the United States on abandoning its nuclear weapons. President Trump welcomed what he called “possible progress.”

President Trump is following through on trade crackdowns and he seems eager to start a trade war, which he claims would be "easy to win". However, many economists claim even just the prospect of a trade war will hurt the current economic expansion.

Mr. Trump said he would levy tariffs on imported steel and aluminum from every foreign county. The planned tariffs are 25% for steel and 10% for aluminum.

What kind of effect do you think this will have on our economy, and do you agree with these tariffs?

Late last night White House Communications Director Hope Hicks announced she will be leaving the Trump administration. As the president's longest-serving aide, Hicks is the latest of the Trump administration's top advisers to leave in the past 13 months.

Two days ago Hicks testified before the House Intelligence Committee for the investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election. However she claimed she is leaving to spend more time with her family.

White House Communications Director Hope Hicks made the surprising announcement on Wednesday that she will leave the Trump administration in the coming weeks. The Syrian government has been accused of using chemical weapons on civilians, and the United Nations has recently contended that North Korea has been supplying Syria with products that could be used in the production of chemical weapons. These supplies include acid-resistant tiles, valves, and thermometers, and North Korean missile technicians have been seen working at chemical weapons and missile facilities inside Syria. In return, this trade means Syria is providing North Korea with cash that they could be using for its nuclear and missile programs.

An unreleased report says North Korea has evaded United Nations sanctions, providing Syria with materials for chemical weapons.
