NYC Correction Guardians Association, Inc. The Correction Guardians Association is a Law Enforcement Organization consisting of Uniformed and No we have been around for more than 71 years.

The Correction Guardians Association is a Law Enforcement Organization consisting of Uniformed and Non-Uniformed members. Founded in 1939 by Dr. Lawrence Irvin, a NYC Corrections Department Dentist, and Correction Officer James Harrison, who was the first elected President of the Organization and also became the first African American Provisional Warden of the Department. The organization provides

scholarships to minority youths, outreach, training, grievances, mentoring, guest speakers, financial advisement, toy drives, community service, family outings and networking. This organization takes pride in upholding the law and continues to serve the people of New York State to the best of our ability.

On Saturday December 22,2024 members of the Guardians participated in their Annual “Santa With Shields”. This year was focused on the teenagers of the community ages 14-17. What an experience it was…… These teens were so humble and grateful and most of them didn’t just think about themselves they wanted to make sure that others would have a wonderful holiday. We have to pour into our community and our children.
