Nazareth Housing’s 2026 Annual Benefit raised more than $675,000 to support our critical homelessness prevention and housing stability programs. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, supported the event, and helped make this incredible evening possible.

“To truly understand the work we do at Nazareth Housing, it helps to imagine what a year might look like for many of the people who come through our doors,” said Executive Director Rachel Levine. “When people are overwhelmed, what they are often looking for is not simply a service. They are looking for someone they trust.”

Our Housing Stability Support Program (HSSP) helps our clients stay safely housed in the communities they call home. 🏠

Through eviction prevention, case management, benefits enrollment, housing counseling, food access, supportive housing, and educational and financial programming, we provide the support families need to build stability and move forward.

On May 14, members of the Nazareth Housing team joined partners across the human services sector and the Human Services Council of New York - HSC at the “Equal Work, Equal Wages” rally at City Hall Park.

The event brought together organizations and advocates from across New York City to highlight ongoing conversations around wage equity within the human services sector.

We’re incredibly grateful to Key Food and store owner Gaven for their partnership and generosity through our new Community Food Connection Pilot Program. 💙

Through this partnership, we’ve been able to distribute grocery gift cards to eligible clients, helping families access the food and essentials they need most.

In addition, Gaven recently organized a special donation of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs for our pantry. Many of our clients have specifically requested fresh herbs, so it was especially meaningful to provide items that reflect their preferences and support healthy, nourishing meals at home.

Thank you for helping us strengthen food access and care for our community in thoughtful and impactful ways.

This past Mother’s Day, we were grateful to celebrate the incredible mothers and caregivers in our community at Thorpe Family Residence, Park Avenue Thorpe (PAT), and our Lower East Side office.

Across each location, families came together to enjoy special celebrations filled with food, gifts, appreciation, and community connection. These moments were an opportunity to recognize the strength, resilience, and love that mothers bring to their families every day.

At Nazareth Housing, we know that creating joyful and supportive experiences for families is an important part of building stability and community. We are honored to celebrate the amazing mothers who are part of our programs and community.

In April, we celebrated Volunteer Recognition Day at Park Avenue Thorpe (PAT) with a special brunch honoring the incredible volunteers who generously give their time, energy, and care to our community.

To recognize their hard work and dedication, each volunteer received a certificate of appreciation, a gift card, and a self-care gift bag as a small token of our gratitude.

We’re excited to continue expanding nutrition and food equity initiatives at Nazareth Housing! 🥬🍎

Thanks to the support of a generous funder, we recently purchased juicers for our food pantries. Through regular demonstrations and nutrition workshops, pantry visitors will learn how to turn the fresh produce we distribute into healthy, nutritious juices at home.
This new addition is part of our ongoing commitment to making healthy food more accessible, engaging, and empowering for our community.
