If you are a Danish national who lost your citizenship by acquiring another citizenship before 1 September 2015, you can apply to reacquire your Danish citizenship.

As of 10 April 2026, the European Union’s new Entry-Exit System (EES) is fully operational.

EES is an automated IT system for registering non-EU nationals traveling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders. This system is designed to make your border crossing smoother, safer, and faster.

EES will automatically register key information each time you enter or leave the 29 European countries in the Schengen Area within a 90-day period.

If you arrive at a border crossing point for the first time since the EES started, passport control officers will take a photo of your face and/or scan your fingerprints.

If you have crossed the borders of European countries using the EES more than once since the EES started, the photo of your face and/or your fingerprints will already be recorded in the system.

Today the 24 February 2026 marks four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦
Since then, Ukraine has fought to defend its own freedom, and Europe’s security, every single day.

In New York City, an official flag raising ceremony is usually held on this day, uniting the city’s diplomatic community. It resonates here: New York City is home to around 150,000 Ukrainians. The largest Ukrainian community across the US, which is why the city’s solidarity matters, in the streets, in the institutions, and in everyday life.

The Nordic countries continue to provide extensive support for Ukraine: politically, financially, militarily, and humanitarianly. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and their fight.
