On April 18, 1926, Paramahansa Yogananda led an audience of thousands in the art of devotional chanting he brought from India. Though unfamiliar with the practice, the audience at Carnegie Hall was swept up in the chanting’s universal power and appeal. For one hour and twenty-five minutes, thousands of souls joined their voices in unity, moved by the deep spiritual transformation they experienced.
This April, monks of Self-Realization Fellowship will lead an evening of music, chanting, and meditation at this iconic venue — an opportunity to experience the sacred inspiration Paramahansa Yogananda first shared with his Western audiences a century ago.
Join us April 18, 2026, for an evening that bridges eras, hearts, and worlds. We invite you to learn more and reserve your seats: yogananda.org/the-divine-art-of-music

Experience a historic musical homecoming, marking 100 years since Paramahansa Yogananda introduced America to the power of Indian devotional chanting at one of the world’s most iconic venues, Carnegie Hall.
