We are also thankful to you and your family for your continued support and vigilance in making america great again.

to the Election Night Watch Party where we witnessed history being made at the ballot box. secured more than the necessary 270 votes in the Electoral College in one of the greatest political comebacks in American history. His victory was accompanied by House Republicans maintaining their majority and the Senate returning to Republican control as well.

President Donald J. Trump ran a tremendous campaign that won more than 50% of the popular vote, but also won more black voters than any Republican candidate in more than 50 years. In New York City, he was able to cut into the margin the Democrats had by 16 percentage points over 2020. In the Bronx, his voter support tripled since his 2016 win.

We appreciate those of you who came out to watch the results with us. We can celebrate and look forward to advancing the MAGA agenda now and during the rest of the once and future President’s term.

The NYYRC Black and Hispanic Caucuses had a memorable week filled with engaging events! Last Friday, we had a night of fine ci**rs and smooth whiskies at Moises Cigar Bar in the Kingsbridge area of the Bronx during our Cigar & Whisky Social. A few days later, we gathered at the Clubhouse for a thought-provoking forum featuring Venezuelan investigative reporter Maibort Petit, who shared insightful knowledge on the transnational crime syndicate originating out of Venezuela. These events highlighted our commitment to fostering meaningful connections and discussing critical issues impacting our community.

We were grateful to host the third edition of the Social for Life with our colleagues from the Philanthropy Committee and the Catholic Caucus. The New York City Director of Love Life, Lisa Washington, gave an encouraging speech on her life story as it gave her divine motivation to protect the lives of the unborn in New York City, especially those of black babies.

She gave some damning statistics regarding black pregnancies for 4 of the 5 boroughs of NYC in 2021. In Queens County, per 100 births, there were 71 abortions. In Kings County (Brooklyn), for every 100 births, there were 100 abortions. The Bronx produced 72 abortions per 100 births. And in Manhattan, there were 116 abortions for every 100 births.

In 2022, the Supreme Court ruled in the Dobbs’ decision and overturned Roe vs. Wade. We are thankful that we are making progress politically and corporately, continuing to celebrate the victories, large or small.

“This Independence Day, we’re honoring the great sacrifice of Crispus Attucks as the catalyst of the American Revolution. When poorly paid British soldiers began encroaching on Boston, sailors limited opportunities to work as whalers and rope makers in the Boston Harbor, Attucks and four friends kicked them out, resulting in a retaliation by the Red Coats that would become known as the Boston Massacre. Attucks, a bold black man who had escaped enslavement and built a life for himself as a sailor, was said to have brandished a stick at the British Soldiers and grabbed their bayonet with his bare hands before he and 4 others were shot to death. At the murder trial, the British soldiers were defended by future President John Adams, who said the Red Coats were in fear for their lives due to Attucks size and stature. They were acquitted, but this injustice was the last straw against British rule in the Colonies sparking the American Revolution.

This event exemplifies our unwavering commitment to community outreach and support. We are thrilled to work alongside such exemplary community leaders throughout New York City!

We also wish to extend our thanks to the local Community Affairs officers of the NYPD for their participation. Together, we continue to explore meaningful ways to give back to our communities.
