The EBTDC aims to increase clinician access to treatments that are shown to be effective, thereby improving the quality of care that is delivered to children and families. The EBTDC is run by staff from the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health, in close collaboration with the New York State Office of Mental Health. Trainings themselves are FREE, and CEUs are availabl
e for a fee of $25 per training. Psychologists, social workers, LMFTs, LMHCs, and LCATs are eligible for CEUs. The EBTDC currently offers 4 types of trainings:
1) MAP training: This is our most intensive training, consisting of an initial 4-day training, followed by 4 months of bi-weekly consultation to prepare trainees for submission of NYS MAP certification materials. MAP training offers 32 CEUs. Learn more: http://www.ideas4kidsmentalhealth.org/the-map-training-program.html
2) Mini MAP trainings are shorter, 2.5-4 hour trainings that cover portions of the MAP system and teach trainees how to utilize the online resources available through MAP. We currently offer 6 Mini MAP modules: Intro (pre-requisite for all other modules), Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, and Tracking Client Progress. Mini MAP is for those who do not have the time to commit to MAP training or want to preview portions of MAP content prior to attending the full training. Mini MAP trainings offer 2.5-4 CEUs. 3) One Day Intensive trainings provide a deeper dive into specific clinical topics and last 5-6 hours. These trainings offer 5-6 CEUs. Learn more: http://www.ideas4kidsmentalhealth.org/one-day-intensive-trainings.html
4) Focused Clinical Webinars meet provider demand for shorter, more focused training content. They are 1 hour long and offer 1 CEU each. They typically focused on common strategies used across different evidence-based interventions, or on specific clinical topics.
