The Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay will be travelling to New York, United State of America for the High-Level Week of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which is scheduled from 22-28 September 2026.
The Prime Minister will be leading the RGoB delegation composed of senior officials from the Prime Ministerโs Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade.
The Prime Minister will address the General Debate of the 81st Session on Tuesday, 22nd of September outlining Bhutanโs perspectives on issues of global significance. On the sideline, the Prime Minister will also meet leaders of partner countries, international organizations and businesses to advance collaboration and partnership in areas of mutual interest.
During the High-Level Week, the Prime Minister will also host the High Level Meeting of the G-Zero Forum States, an international coalition of carbon-negative and carbon-neutral countries, in partnership with UNDP, and the High Level Meeting to Renew the Global Commitment to End Poverty in All Its Dimensions in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the University of Oxford.
