กิจกรรมบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์และบำเพ็ญสาธารณกุศลเฉลิมพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินี เนื่องในโอกาสพระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 4 รอบ ที่โรงเรียนมัธยมต้นในย่านควีนส์

เมื่อวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2569 คณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก นำโดย นางปวรี ชูโต ชัยปฏิยุทธ อัครราชทูต รองผู้แทนถาวรไทยฯ ได้ทำกิจกรรมบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์และบำเพ็ญสาธารณกุศลเฉลิมพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินี เนื่องในโอกาสพระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 4 รอบ ณ โรงเรียน World Journalism Preparatory School ในย่านควีนส์ของนครนิวยอร์ก

อัครราชทูต ปวรีฯ ได้บรรยายเพื่อสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับนักเรียนมัธยมต้น 25 คน ของโรงเรียนดังกล่าว เกี่ยวกับบทบาทและเส้นทางอาชีพนักการทูต รวมถึงประเด็นที่ไทยให้ความสำคัญในเวทีสหประชาชาติ เพื่อสร้างเสริมความรู้ความเข้าใจด้านการทูตพหุภาคีและบทบาทของไทยในสหประชาชาติให้แก่นักเรียนท้องถิ่นของนครนิวยอร์ก

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นการตอบรับคำเชิญของสำนักงานนายกเทศมนตรีนครนิวยอร์ก ฝ่ายกิจการระหว่างประเทศภายใต้โครงการ NYC Junior Ambassadors (NYCJA) ที่เชิญคณะผู้แทนถาวรต่างประเทศเยี่ยมโรงเรียนมัธยมในนครนิวยอร์กเพื่อเชื่อมและเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสหประชาชาติกับนครนิวยอร์กในฐานะเมืองเจ้าภาพที่เป็นที่ตั้งของสหประชาชาติ ซึ่งนครนิวยอร์กได้ดำเนินโครงการดังกล่าวต่อเนื่องมาแล้ว 11 ปี

Volunteer activity commemorating the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary at a high school in Queens

On 11 June 2026, H.E. Mrs. Pawaree Xuto Chaipatiyut, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, made a classroom visit at the World Journalism Preparatory School in Flushing, Queens. The visit was a voluntary activity commemorating the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary.

Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative Pawaree spoke and answered questions from the students about the role of diplomats, Thailand’s priorities at the United Nations, and her own experience in this line of work. The interactive engagement provided an excellent opportunity for local students in New York City to gain a deeper understanding of multilateral diplomacy and Thailand’s role at the United Nations.

The activity was organized in response to an invitation from the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs to join the NYC Junior Ambassadors (NYCJA) programme and honour the connection between New York City and the United Nations as well as to celebrate its role as Host City to the United Nations. This year marks the 11th year of the NYCJA programme.

ประเทศไทยร่วมออกร้านการกุศลในงาน 2026 UN International Bazaar

เมื่อวันที่ 2 มิถุนายน 2569 คณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก ได้ร่วมออกร้านการกุศลในงาน 2026 UN International Bazaar ณ สำนักงานใหญ่สหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก โดยการจำหน่ายเมนูยอดนิยมที่เป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทยอย่างผัดไทยกุ้ง กระเพราไก่ไข่ดาว ชาไทย ผลิตภัณฑ์มะม่วง รวมถึงได้นำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์งานฝีมือจากกลุ่มสตรีและครอบครัวชุมชนจากร้าน “ทอฝัน by พม.”

ประเทศไทยเป็นหนึ่งในเกือบ 50 ประเทศ ที่ร่วมออกร้านในงานปีนี้ และคณะผู้แทนถาวรฯ ได้นำรายได้ที่หักค่าใช้จ่ายร่วมบริจาคผ่านผู้จัดงาน ได้แก่ United Nations Delegations Spouses’ Club (UNDSC) และ United Nations International Bazaar Committee ไปยังกิจการด้านมนุษยธรรมของสำนักงานเพื่อการประสานงานกิจการมนุษยธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (OCHA) และองค์กรไม่แสวงหากำไรที่มีพันธกิจสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนและได้รับการรับรองสถานะจากคณะมนตรีเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (ECOSOC)

Thailand at 2026 UN International Bazaar

On 2 June 2026, the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations participated in the 2026 UN International Bazaar at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The Mission brought Thailand’s favorite Shimp Pad Thai, Thai iced tea, and mango gummy to customers. The Thai Mission also sold handmade bags that empower the country’s women and their families from the Dream Weaving Shop by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS).

Thailand was among almost fifty countries participating in this year’s Bazaar. The proceeds were donated for humanitarian causes through the co-organizers, the United Nations Delegations Spouses’ Club (UNDSC) and the United Nations International Bazaar Committee, to support the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and selected ECOSOC-accredited Non-Profit Organizations aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

เมื่อวันที่ 28 พ.ค. 2569 นายเชิดชาย ใช้ไววิทย์ เอกอัครราชทูต ผู้แทนถาวรไทย ประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก เข้าร่วมการประชุม Group of Friends of Global Governance โดยมีนายหวัง อี้ สมาชิกกรมการเมือง ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานคณะกรรมการกลางด้านกิจการต่างประเทศของพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีน และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศจีน เป็นประธาน

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ กล่าวยินดีต่อความก้าวหน้าของข้อริเริ่ม Global Governance Initiative ซึ่งเป็นข้อริเริ่มที่สร้างสรรค์ สามารถเกื้อหนุนและสนับสนุนงานของสหประชาชาติได้ โดยเปิดพื้นที่แห่งการพูดคุยหารือและร่วมมือกันอย่างครอบคลุม พร้อมกับย้ำความมุ่งมั่นของไทยต่อหลักการแห่งกฎบัตรสหประชาชาติ ซึ่งล้วนมีความจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งยวดต่อการกำกับดูแลระดับโลกในปัจจุบัน

ทั้งนี้ ตอนหนึ่งของถ้อยแถลง เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้พูดถึงความเห็นของคณะผู้แทนประเทศหนึ่งด้วยว่า ประเทศไทยถูกยั่วยุซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าจากข้อกล่าวหาที่ไร้มูลเหตุ ซึ่งเป็นการบ่อนทำลายการหารือโดยสุจริตใจและสวนทางกับเจตนารมณ์ของกฎบัตรสหประชาชาติ การกระทำที่มุ่งผลประโยชน์ทางการเมืองและการช่วงชิงพื้นที่สื่อ ย่อมบั่นทอนความไว้วางใจ และจะไม่ได้นำไปสู่การแก้ไขปัญหาแต่อย่างใด ผู้ที่ยั่วยุจำเป็นต้องเลือกทางเดินอื่น นั่นคือ การสร้างพื้นที่สำหรับการทูต การฟื้นฟูความไว้วางใจ และการกลับสู่หนทางแห่งสันติภาพ

On 28 May 2026, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in New York, participated in the meeting of the Group of Friends of Global Governance. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

Ambassador Cherdchai welcomed the continued growth of the GGI, describing it as a constructive initiative that could complement and support the work of the United Nations. He reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, all of which were indispensable to global governance in the present day.

On this occasion, the Ambassador also addressed the comments made earlier by a delegation by stating that repeated provocations and unfounded allegations based on political point-scoring undermined good-faith dialogue as well as ran counter to the spirit of the UN Charter. Such actions erode trust and rarely created solutions. Breaking this cycle required those who chose provocation to make a different choice – to create space for diplomacy, rebuild trust, and return to the path of peace.

เอกอัครราชทูต ผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก หารือกับนาง Rebeca Grynspan ผู้สมัครตำแหน่งเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติคนใหม่

เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายเชิดชาย ใช้ไววิทย์ เอกอัครราชทูต ผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก ได้พบหารือกับนาง Rebeca Grynspan ผู้สมัครตำแหน่งเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติคนใหม่จากคอสตาริกา ณ ที่ทำการคณะผู้แทนถาวรฯ
นาง Grynspan ได้แลกเปลี่ยนวิสัยทัศน์เกี่ยวกับอนาคตของสหประชาชาติ ย้ำการสนับสนุนประเทศ Global South และความสำคัญของการเจรจาและความร่วมมือเพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายระดับโลก ขณะที่เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทของไทยในประชาคมระหว่างประเทศ ซึ่งรวมถึงการเป็นประเทศเจ้าบ้านของหน่วยงานสหประชาชาติในระดับภูมิภาค พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอประเด็นที่ไทยให้ความสำคัญ ทั้งในมิติด้านความมั่นคง เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิทธิมนุษยชน

การพบหารือดังกล่าวสะท้อนบทบาทของไทยในฐานะผู้ขับเคลื่อนระบบพหุภาคีนิยมที่สร้างสรรค์ ปีนี้ครบรอบ 80 ปีของการเป็นสมาชิกสหประชาชาติของไทย ไทยยึดมั่นต่อกระบวนการสรรหาเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติคนใหม่ที่โปร่งใสและครอบคลุม โดยพร้อมหารือกับผู้สมัครคนอื่น ๆ ด้วย เพื่อให้มั่นใจว่า เลขาธิการสหประชาชาติคนใหม่เข้าใจมุมมองและประเด็นที่ไทยและอาเซียนให้ความสำคัญ

Thailand Engages with UNSG Candidate Rebeca Grynspan
On 14 May 2026, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, received Ms. Rebeca Grynspan of Costa Rica, candidate for the position of United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG), at the Mission.

During the meeting, Ms. Grynspan shared her vision for the future of the United Nations, emphasizing strong support for the Global South and the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing global challenges. Ambassador Chaivaivid highlighted Thailand’s distinctive role in the international community, including its position as a major regional hub for UN operations, and shared Thailand’s priorities across security, economic, social, and human rights dimensions.

Ms. Grynspan’s outreach recognizes Thailand’s role as a constructive driver in advancing multilateralism. Commemorating the 80th anniversary of its UN membership this year, Thailand remains committed to a transparent and inclusive UNSG selection process and stands ready to engage with other candidates to ensure that the next UN leader is well attuned to perspectives and priorities of Thailand and ASEAN.
