On September 23, 2024, Tuvalu and the Republic of Serbia signed an agreement to abolish visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The signing took place at the Permanent Mission of Serbia to the United Nations between H.E. Paulson Panapa, Tuvalu's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Labour and Trade, and H.E. Marko Djuric, the Foreign Minister of Serbia.

Tuvalu Prime Minister, joining the High-Level Breakfast for Climate Mobility Champions and delivering his keynote remarks underscoring that the international community must meet its financial commitments to address loss and damage and to support adaptation in vulnerable countries, including through the establishment of innovative financial mechanisms to support positive community transition and community-led adaptation.
