☎️ Police Department Phone System Updated ☎️

The Police Department phone system upgrade project is now complete. This new system better serves both the department and our Village residents.

When you call the non-emergency number (419-492-2321), you will now hear an automated assistant with several options:

Press 1: Connects you directly to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center to report incidents that require an Officer or Deputy. The Sheriff’s Office also serves as our dispatch center. Because our department is not fully staffed at all times, this helps prevent delays if a Deputy needs to respond if an Officer is not on duty.

Additional options are available to contact:
•☑️Chief Kissling
•☑️Officer Coleman
•☑️Officer Katona

If they are unavailable or off duty, you can now leave a voicemail, which was not previously possible.

Press 5: You will then be connected to the Village of New Washington Offices.

🚨 Important 🚨: If you need to report an incident, please select Option 1 so dispatch can properly document and enter the complaint into the computer for reporting purposes.

This upgrade is an important step in modernizing the Police Department. Not only does it simplify communication, but it also reduces monthly costs, helping save the Village money.

Thank you for your support 💪
