Join Us This Weekend

August 8th and 9th brings the Old Time Plow Boys Summer Show to our grounds.
Enjoy some family fun while touring our buildings filled with local history and memorabilia. Admission is free. Activities are free. Enjoy barrel rides and tractor pulls for all ages. Bring your tractor to display and register for Tractor Awards. $5.00 gives you a chance to win an Oliver Tractor. Winning ticket will be drawn on December 6th at Christmas at the Fairgrounds in Kutztown. Relax on our grounds as you listen to music provided by well known local group The Rehrig Brothers on Sunday from Noon to 3.

Sunday also brings Genealogy Networking, happening in our library from 1:30 to 4:30. Tap into the many resources our library offers as you start researching your ancestors or continue on your journey to add to your tree. As always, at least one of our leaders will be available to offer assistance.

Come enjoy some family fun in the beautiful countryside of Northwestern Lehigh County at our ‘Little Slice of Heaven’ in Werley’s Corner!

We had a great day at the Weisenberg Township Community Center’s Grand Opening! The building is gorgeous. What a great addition to the community!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming events. We have busy months ahead! See all the flyers below for details.

Join us this Saturday, August 1st at the Grand Opening of the Weisenberg Township Community Center along with the Community Day Event. We will be set up from 9-1 along with other vendors, displays, and food trucks.

On August 8th and 9th visit our grounds for The Old Time Plow Boys Summer Show. Good family fun with displays, barrel rides, pedal pulls, and great food! $5.00 will buy you a chance to win a 1951 Oliver 77 tractor.

A Dine and Donate event at Casa Di Italia on August 12th gives you an opportunity to take a break from cooking and support our Historical Society. Treat yourself to a great meal. Portions are huge, you won’t leave hungry!

Member David Hunsicker,Jr. is helping us celebrate America 250! On August 19th, Morganland Union Church will be the site of his presentation ‘Summer of 1776: Overturning the Pennsylvania Government on the Road to Independence’. You don’t have to be a history buff to enjoy learning about our country’s road to freedom.

September brings more fun events.

Learn how to clean tombstones. On September 15th, member Brenda Mankos will show you how to have your ancestors’ headstones looking better. Find out how she removes years of mold and grime.

September 19th brings our Farmer’s Market / Artisan Fair. Combined with a yard sale and bake sale, you are sure to find some great treasures and sweet treats to take home with you.

Lots going on at our Historical Society. Stay tuned for events happening later this year.

* Sunday July 12th. Genealogy Networking held in our library from 1:30 to 4:30. Open to the public at no cost. No need to reserve a spot but if you know you will be attending, please email [email protected] to let her know.

* Tuesday July 14th. ‘Framed Again’ held at the Weisenberg Township Building in Seipstown. Come hear members and local artists Jeanne Stock and Gene Allen discuss their artwork.

* Saturday and Sunday August 8th and 9th

our grounds. Saturday from 9-5 and
Sunday from 9-4.
