Wednesday, June 17th. 4pm-6pm

We recently received some large donations of books, too many for our Lending Library.
Instead of storing them, we have them set up inside and will be open for you to come and help yourself, no limit.

Among the many Authors are some favorites…
James Patterson, Danielle Steele, Fern Michaels, David Baldacci, Robin Pilcher, Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts, JD Robb, Kate Welsh, Nicholas Sparks and many more!
Some large print books are also available.

In addition, our store will also be open. Don’t forget to get your Allemaengel 250 yard signs and garden flags, now half price!

Our new barn stars were hung yesterday. Thank you to our Board of Directors for choosing the pattern and artist Robert Maletsky for painting the barn stars. Thank you to Board members Keith Breininger, Terry Hausman, John Baush, Glenn Reeder and Jim Bachman for prepping the barn and hanging the barn stars. Great job!

UPDATE ON BASKET SOCIAL HOURS

Tomorrow, Friday May 29th our hours have been extended. We will be open from 1pm to 7pm. We have 171 regular baskets, value at least $25 and 37 special baskets, value at least $50. There is a great selection of appliances, children’s items, home decor, household items, home made candy and the ever popular gift certificates, cold hard cash and the ‘must be over 21’ items!

Stop in and try your luck at winning some of these great baskets !

Yesterday the barn was prepped…the old barn stars were sanded and painted over. This morning our new barn stars will be hung.

We hosted this great group of students and teachers yesterday. A first for us and a very rewarding experience. The students were very inquisitive, asked a lot of questions and seemed to have a good time. We hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did!

Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum is celebrating America's 250th with History Expo 2026, a special day-long celebration of history, on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is FREE and includes:

-A showcase of more than 20 historical societies, house museums, and history organizations from the Lehigh Valley (including Passport to History partners!)
- Tours of historic Trout Hall mansion
- A new exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History titled "Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy."
- The Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps from Topton, Pennsylvania
- Car exhibit on the grounds will feature award-winning cars from the collection of Mr. Ron Smith, including a 1914 Model T Ford Touring Car
- Meet PIP the Colonial Mouse, Actor Jon Provost, who played Timmy on the Lassie show, and author Laurie Jacobson, for a talk about the Beatles' historic concert at Shea Stadium.
- The Allentown Band's outdoor concert
- First 500 children receive a free commemorative coin set
