We welcome the community to join us for our Hope and Healing Days taking place at the end of this month. We will also be supporting White Shield Fire District Su***de Prevention and Awareness Walk on September 22nd.❤️🤍 Let's come together as a community to remind ourselves that we are all on this journey of healing. We don't need to walk alone; we can unite and do this together because we are stronger than the storm!

We thank our community partners, school leaders, and our Youth Coalition members for coming together and making it a priority to instill hope and healing in our communities. Our grandparents taught us to take care of one another, maagii gaishaa.💜💙🩵💛

UPDATE FOR YOUTH: Arugadi eeca caagic! The garden’s good!

Today, our Native Connections team spent time in the garden weeding, taking care of the plants, miri aru makeds, and spending time together 🌽🌻 We also wanted to give a major shout out to our loved ones for coming throughout the summer to help as well. (Outside of our garden club days) Maacigiraac 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

As we work, we remind ourselves that what we do, affects the youth in a positive way and we should continue to show up with braveness, a good attitude, and compassion in our hearts. As adults, we are the ones who need to hold things together when our youth are struggling. Our youth are watching us. We have to be the role models we want them to see. Make them feel strong enough and safe enough to know they don’t have to go through tough things alone 🙏🏽💙 also, we as adults shouldn’t feel like we have to go through hardships alone as well.
