Part two of FDIC!

A busy weekend for the NSFD. Yesterday (Friday) we attended Prom Promise at Miller High school- photos to come this week.

Today (Saturday) We attended FDIC in Indiana. This is a big deal in the fire service world—thousands of firefighters attend from all over. It’s a national-level training and networking event where departments learn the latest techniques and equipment to improve safety and response. We met tons of new friends and reps who are going to help better our small department. Even snagged a couple of new items for our Engine and tanker.

This was also a great opportunity to bond with our brothers and sisters. We value the importance of trusting one another & having eachother backs. This was a great way to remind of us that.

Tomorrow our members will pack up to participate in a 5K in Nelsonville to honor fallen firefighters. If you’re free consider coming down to cheer them on!
