Last night, members from all of our stations came together at Station 21 for our monthly all-station training, focusing on vehicle extrication operations.

Firefighters and EMTs spent the evening sharpening their skills with hydraulic rescue tools, practicing techniques and tactics used to safely and efficiently remove victims from vehicles following serious crashes. Regular hands-on training like this helps ensure our crews are prepared when seconds matter most.

A special thank you goes to Gobel’s Towing for donating the vehicles used during the training and for returning afterward to haul them away. Partnerships like these play a vital role in helping us provide realistic, high-quality training for our members and better service to our community.

🚒 A busy day in Springfield Township!

Station 23 in New Springfield is looking sharp this afternoon as crews return from a callback for a motor vehicle accident. The flowers are blooming, the doors are open, and our volunteers are ready for whatever comes next.

Our volunteer firefighters dedicate countless hours to training, responding to emergencies, and serving our community—often leaving family dinners, work, and personal time when the pager sounds. Today was no different.
