Beach safety is still paying more than most FF/EMT positions in Volusia county! Starting pay in nsb is $14.88….. insane to think that an entry level firefighter who are away from their families during Christmas, 4th of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc…. Are getting paid less than people working at fast food industries….

Volusia County Beach Safety has seen its share of tumult since 2023. Here's hoping things calm down a bit.
