On June 2, we pause to remember D-Day and honor the brave Allied service members whose sacrifice helped defend and liberate Europe.

Today, on the 82nd anniversary of the Normandy landings in 1944, we are grateful for their courage, service and legacy, and we commit to teaching further generations the true cost of freedom.

Congratulations to the 50 educators selected for the 2026-2027 Aspiring Principal Fellowship.

This year-long program will prepare future principals from nearly two dozen school systems to lead schools with a focus on high-quality instruction and improved student outcomes.

Pointe Coupee Parish Schools is proud to share that Rosenwald Elementary’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Summer Program is off to a strong start!

During week one, students participated in engaging activities focused on literacy, mathematics, arts, physical fitness, and character development. It has been an exciting and productive beginning to the summer.

We commend the Rosenwald Elementary staff, students, and families for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to sharing more highlights in the weeks ahead.

The Pointe Coupee Parish School Board is excited to prepare for another successful school year! Families are encouraged to review the official school supply list and begin gathering the materials students will need for a strong start in August!

Summer Camp is off to a great start across the district. At Rougon Elementary and Junior High School, yesterday was “Camouflage Day,” and our students had a blast showing their spirit in all kinds of camouflage attire and cooling off with snowballs from a local vendor. Our first graders especially enjoyed a fun day of art and socializing with their friends. Today (Wednesday) is “Western Day,” and parents are invited to join us at Rougon to see David the Magician perform in the gym at 10 a.m.

Meal pick up is open! If you registered your children for our grab an go meal program at STEM Magnet Academy of Pointe Coupee you should’ve received an email yesterday with details.

Our drive thru check in location is open and waiting for you! We ask that registered participants pick up by 1:30pm. From 1:30-2:30pm any meals not picked up will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Meals are for children 18 and under. Thank you for your cooperation!
