Look at this amazing recap of our NEW RICHMOND CAMP INVENTION!!
🚀💡 🛠️ What an Incredible Week of Innovation at Camp Invention! 🌎 💡🚀
💥More than 100 students from the New Richmond Exempted Village School District recently participated in a week-long Camp Invention program, a nationally recognized STEM experience developed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame! Through the generous support of the Ohio General Assembly, specifically State Representative Adam Bird, the district received over $20,000 in grant funding to support these students in acquiring fun, learning, and 21st-century STEM skills! 🦁🧠💪
💥Incoming Kindergarten through 6th grade students spent the week exploring creation, design, and problem-solving through five exciting modules: Space Morphers, The Infringers, Make Waves, Furensics, and C.I. Games. Each day, campers rotated through all five sessions, engaging in hands-on learning experiences that challenged them to think creatively and work collaboratively. 👷♂️🚀🔬
💥Throughout the week, students developed critical 21st-century skills, including collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, design thinking, construction, and STEM-related skills that will help prepare them for future success. 🏗️🧑🔬⚙️
💥This year’s camp was made even more special thanks to the involvement of our middle and high school students. High school students served as Leadership Interns, mentoring younger campers and supporting them throughout the invention process while strengthening their own leadership and communication skills. Middle school students participated as Leaders in Training, serving as an important bridge between teaching and learning while gaining valuable experience working with younger students. 🤝🧠🔬
💥The energy, creativity, and innovation displayed throughout the week were truly inspiring! Thank you to our students, families, staff, and student leaders who helped make this year's Camp Invention an unforgettable experience.
