Water Main Break Notice - New Prague Utilities is working on a water main break on 7th St NE.

Last night's power outage was caused by equipment failure. Power has now been fully restored.

New Prague Utilities Water Department will begin routine hydrant flushing on Monday, June 22, and expects the process to continue for approximately two weeks.

Crews will begin flushing hydrants along Main Street and will then move into the southeast area of town. The flushing schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance procedure that helps clean the water distribution system and maintain water quality. During flushing, residents may notice temporary water discoloration or rusty water. If this occurs after flushing has been completed in your area, please run a cold water tap until the water runs clear.
