Talk about “Every day is a Gift!” 💜

We never know what those gifts will look like—and on Friday evening, Marjorie’s Hope received an unforgettable one!

By special invitation, our Board of Directors and project managers attended the 97X Next Big Thing Legends Concert at BayCare Sound in Clearwater, featuring Yellowcard and Waterparks.

We were invited because Tina Wallace, one of our dedicated Cinderella & Prince Charming volunteers, nominated Marjorie’s Hope for the prestigious Steph Pettit Legends Award. This award honors organizations that demonstrate exceptional generosity, community service, and local impact.

From beginning to end, we were treated like VIPs! We enjoyed food, drinks, air conditioning, a $1,000 advertising credit to promote one of our programs—and an autographed guitar signed by the bands and valued at $1,000!

What an incredible honor it was simply to be nominated by Tina. To then learn that Marjorie’s Hope had been selected as the recipient left us truly humbled and deeply grateful.

Thank you, Tina, for believing our work was worthy of this recognition. Thank you to Steph Pettit, his wife, Mike, and the entire 97X team for welcoming us so warmly and creating such a memorable experience for everyone from Marjorie’s Hope.

We will carry this honor with great pride as we continue removing barriers from children’s lives throughout our community.

Every day is a Gift—and sometimes that gift arrives with VIP passes and an autographed guitar! 🎸💜

💜 Kindness truly moves mountains! 💜

Marjorie’s Hope extends our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to 100+ Women Who Care Pasco for selecting us as the recipient of their incredible $8,600 August donation.

Then, just when we thought our hearts could not be any fuller, they surprised us yesterday (9/5/26) with an additional $400—bringing their total donation to an extraordinary $9,000!

How do we adequately express what this generosity means?

This gift is so much more than a dollar amount. It represents backpacks filled with school supplies, new clothing, shoes, hygiene essentials, formalwear, and other necessities that help remove barriers from children’s lives.

It gives children something even greater: confidence, dignity, hope, and the opportunity to experience personal success.

To every member of 100+ Women Who Care Pasco: thank you for believing in our mission, believing in the children we serve, and showing us what can happen when caring women come together with a shared purpose. Your kindness will move mountains for local children and families.

As a result of knowing first hand the beautiful impact this organization’s donation can make for a not for profit, I am joining at their next meeting in November. Agree to pay $100 every 3 months (4x/yr) to a charity nominated by a member. Three charities are invited to present at a meeting and the women vote and announce the winner that evening. Each member is allowed one vote. Members can split a membership at $50 each but are allowed one vote.

Marjorie’s Hope’s tagline is, “Every day is a Gift!” Today was exactly that—another unexpected gift.

I received a phone call from Cameron Mayberry, General Manager of Ferman Dealership in New Port Richey, asking whether I would be on-site today. He wanted to deliver donations that the dealership had collected throughout August for our Outfitters store. Because I knew nothing about the collection, I was completely surprised—but, of course, I said, “Absolutely!”

About an hour later, Cameron arrived with Service Manager Mike Hughes, carrying a box filled with NEW underwear, T-shirts, socks and shoes—all greatly needed items for the students we serve.

When I asked how they had chosen Marjorie’s Hope, they explained that the dealership supports United Way. When they shared their desire to organize a collection and requested nonprofit referrals, United Way recommended us!

A HUGE shout-out and heartfelt thank-you to United Way. We absolutely love when new people and businesses learn about Marjorie’s Hope and the work we do throughout our community.

After some wonderful conversation, I believe it is safe to say that Marjorie’s Hope has gained a new community partner—one who seemed to genuinely appreciate what they saw today. Most importantly, Cameron and Mike were able to see firsthand exactly where their donations were going and the students and families who would benefit from their generosity.

Today was one of those beautifully crazy days for Marjorie’s Hope!

It began with a phone call asking about dropping off a large donation. “Yes, I’ll be on-site at 11:00!”

Then I received another call—this time from a DJ named Mike from radio station 97FX. Because I wasn’t familiar with the station, I honestly thought I might be caught in one of those live radio pranks! I listened very carefully and repeated almost every word he said, just to make sure I had heard him correctly.

But it was no prank!

Mike was calling to tell me that Marjorie’s Hope had been nominated for an award—and WE WON! Wowza!

The award will be presented tomorrow evening at BayCare Sound in Clearwater, and part of the honor includes a $1,000 advertising credit with the radio station. I immediately asked for eight tickets so I could share this special evening with members of our Board of Directors and our project managers.

A HUGE thank-you to Tina Wallace, one of our dedicated Cinderella & Prince Charming Project volunteers, for nominating Marjorie’s Hope. Tina, we are so sorry you’re unable to join us tomorrow evening, but please know how deeply we appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness. Because of you, Marjorie’s Hope will be recognized—and our mission will reach even more people.

Good morning, West Pasco...

Marjorie's Hope has an important request for our community.

Yesterday, we were
contacted and asked if we
could help an educator who lost everything in the Cobalt Fire. He and his mother literally escaped with only the clothes on their backs.
We have offered them the
opportunity to shop free of charge at both our Outfitters Store and Cinderella & Prince Charming Store.

However, while Marjorie's Hope still receives professional clothing, it is no longer the majority of what is donated. We currently have very few casual dress pants and other everyday work essentials for men.

Marjorie's Hope has committed $500 to help this teacher begin replacing some of his basic necessities for work, including collared shirts, dress pants and more.

However, I know he is going to need far more than our $500 contribution.
If you are able to help, donations may be made through any of Marjorie's
Hope's cash apps, by credit card or by personal check. Please let us know that your donation is intended for the educator affected by the Cobalt Fire. Marjorie's Hope will combine the donations received and present this teacher with a check.
This educator has dedicated his career to helping students in our communitv.
Now, during one of the most
devastating moments of his life, we have an opportunity to help him.

Thank you for always stepping forward when someone in our community needs hope.

Marjorie’s Hope Outfitters store has been VERY busy this back to school year. We have yet to tally the counts, but we know they will tell a story- all on their own. Some nights we were so tired at the end of the day, after the last shopper was outside the store, we were shutting out lights and walking out right behind our customers.

What we loved the most are the kids saying to their parents, “this is THE BEST thrift shop we have ever been to before”, or “look at ALL their cool stuff”. “Look, everything is new” (not everything, but a majority).

We had one family who stood out and were sooo much fun. Watching these 3 sisters collaborating in the dressing room who was going to select what clothing items so they could swap clothes and maximize their wardrobes was fantastic. Meanwhile, mom never lost focus when working on selecting allotted amounts one girl at a time; no matter how many times the other two girls came up to ask mom if she liked (or would approve) what they were holding up. It was constant. All the while, dad stood in the background taking it all in, smiling as if he was as entertained as we were watching this scenario play out. We loved watching how kind and respectful the sisters were with each other. NOT once did any of the girls pout, stomp their feet, argue or get mad when momma vetoed the item. These ladies clearly loved one another and loved their momma too.

Marjorie’s Hope is seeking the following items: pots n pans, bake ware and a gently used washer and dryer.

If anyone has such, please advise. Dad has a truck for local pick ups.

Pots n pans, bake ware can be dropped off at front office of Wendell Krinn Technical HS 7650 Orchid Lake road New Port Richey.
