Strong Work!!

On July 18, 2026, a patient experiencing stroke-like symptoms was brought to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital's Emergency Department. Thanks to the quick recognition of stroke signs by the responding EMS crew and their timely stroke-alert prenotification, our stroke team was prepared and ready to act before the patient arrived.
Upon arrival, the ED Stroke Team rapidly assessed the patient and determined they may be a candidate for TNKase, a clot-busting medication used in eligible stroke patients. Following a thorough evaluation, the team confirmed eligibility and administered TNKase in just 25 minutes—beating the national goal of 30 minutes or less.
👏 We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the EMS professionals and Emergency Department team whose expertise, collaboration, and commitment to excellence made this remarkable outcome possible. Their swift actions and dedication to providing high-quality, time-sensitive stroke care demonstrate the incredible impact of teamwork in our community.
Every minute matters during a stroke, and because of the efforts of these healthcare heroes, a patient received the right care at the right time.

Today, we celebrate Amanda Lutze one of the 2026 Leading Ladies of Tuscarawas County. Amanda shares her leadership role as follows:

Congratulations to all those with whom I share the honor of being nominated as a Leading Lady of Tuscarawas County.

Since 2023, I've had the privilege of serving Tuscarawas County through my work at Rainbow Connection, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit health charity dedicated to assisting the disabled and disadvantaged of Tuscarawas County as well as the schools and organizations that serve them. Through my position as Communications Director, I am able to see the direct impact that comes from our community's continued commitment to improving itself and the lives of those who need it most. Together with Executive Director Perci Garner and our dedicated Board and volunteers, we have raised and returned to our community more than $1 million in aid during my time here.

Raised in Dover, I graduated from Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and worked in communications in Columbus prior to returning to Tuscarawas County with my husband to raise our three children. While the bulk of my time outside of work is spent watching or volunteering at our children's activities, I also serve as Secretary for the Dover Township Board of Zoning and manage the municipality's website and newsletter.

During most projects, you'll surely find me working behind-the-scenes to ensure everyone is cared for and what needs to be done is done. Thank you to all those who see this quiet balance of action and empathy and call it leadership, and thank you to those who nominated me to join this accomplished group of ladies.
