The Tuscarawas County Board of Elections will hold a public work session on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 8:30 AM.

During the session, Board members and staff will review and discuss the After Action Report from the May Primary Election. Work sessions are open to the public and provide residents an opportunity to observe discussions regarding election operations, procedures, and policy considerations.

Today marks two years since the passing of Douglas Stanley Wills.

Doug was more than a leader in our community—he was someone who truly cared about people. He believed in showing up, working hard, and treating others with kindness and respect. That’s how he led, and it’s why so many people looked up to him.

He had a way of making people feel seen and supported, whether you had known him for years or had just met him. He didn’t just lead—he connected, he encouraged, and he made a lasting difference in the lives of those around him.

There are also the small things people remember most—like the fact that he was almost always seen with a Coca-Cola in hand. It’s a simple detail, but one that says a lot about how present and familiar he was to all of us.

Doug is still deeply missed. His impact didn’t end two years ago—it continues in the people he believed in and the work he cared so much about.

With today being both Election Day and the anniversary of his passing, there’s no better way to honor Doug than to get out and vote! 🇺🇸
