Please welcome to newest member of the New Philadelphia Police Department, K9 Reaper. Reaper and his handler, Officer Lambert, just recently finished training to become a certified team. Reaper was officially sworn in yesterday and is ready to serve the City!

A quick update on Pablo:

Pablo is completely recovered from his surgery and is enjoying his retirement! Once again, we cannot thank everyone enough for the generosity and support that was poured into our K9 program. I am happy to report that his handler, Officer Lambert, was able to purchase him. K9s and their handlers have a special, strong, unique bond, so we are beyond thrilled they are able to stay together!

We carry the torch tomorrow! Come out and support our runners who will be carrying the Flame of Hope through town around 11:20am! This year the City will be represented not only by the PD, but also the Fire Department, Health Department, and Municipal Court! We will also have runners from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office! Come out and support this great cause if you are able!

We receive the flame from Dover PD at the corporation limit on 4th St NW (Burger King). We will carry it southbound to High, then eastbound, ending at the PD! We can’t wait to carry on the tradition!
