πŸ’™ September is Su***de Prevention Month πŸ’™

This monthβ€”and every monthβ€”let’s prioritize mental health, kindness, and connection. You are not alone, and your presence matters more than you know.

🌟 How you can help:
βœ… Reach out to someone who might be struggling. A simple β€œHow are you really doing?” can make all the difference.
βœ… Listen without judgment. Sometimes, people just need to feel heard.
βœ… Share resources like the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the U.S.) or Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741).
βœ… Take care of yourself too. Supporting others starts with your own well-being.

πŸ’¬ Remember:
You are valued. Your story matters. And there is hope, even on the hardest days.

Let’s break the stigma and build a world where everyone feels seen and supported. πŸ’›

Sibling abuse is an under-reported form of abuse that can have devastating consequences on a child's psyche. According to Beverly Engel from Psychology Today, "It has been reported that approximately one-third of children in the United States have been physically harmed, threatened, or humiliated by a sibling."

Current research shows us how damaging sibling abuse can be and how parents can play a significant role in both setting the stage for it and preventing it.

This September, we're talking about something that can be hard to bring up β€” but too important to stay silent about.

If someone in your life is struggling, you don't need to be a therapist or have all the answers. You just need to be willing to ask, to listen, and to point them toward help.

Save this post. Share it with someone who might need it. It could matter more than you know. πŸ’›

If you or someone you love needs support:
πŸ“ž Call or text 988 - 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
πŸ“± Text HOME to 741741 - Crisis Text Line

Both are free, confidential, and available 24/7.

Every child deserves roots.

September is National Kinship Care Month, a time to honor the grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, and family friends who step up to raise children when parents cannot.

These caregivers show up with open hearts and open homes β€” often with little support or recognition.

This month, we see you.

If you or someone you know is navigating kinship care, Child Find of America is here to help. πŸ’›
