Our crews will be making appearances at several National Night Out events throughout the area. Stop by to meet our EMTs and paramedics, check out an ambulance, ask questions, and learn more about the lifesaving services we provide every day.

National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the relationship between first responders and the communities we proudly serve. We love getting the chance to meet our neighbors, connect with local families, and help make our communities safer and stronger.

Adams Regional EMS was proud to assist with CPR and First Aid training for the Adams County Cadet Academy!
Teaching these essential lifesaving skills to the next generation of first responders helps prepare them to make a difference when it matters most. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of their training and commend each participant for their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to learning.

The Adams Regional EMS family extends our deepest condolences to our colleagues at Life Team EMS and First Capital EMS following the sudden loss of one of their own.
As first responders, we stand side by side every day, answering the call and supporting one another through both the best and most difficult moments. During this heartbreaking time, our thoughts and prayers are with the member’s family, friends, and the entire Life Team EMS and First Capital EMS families.

Whether you’re responding to emergencies, working long shifts, or cheering from the sidelines after a busy day, your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Staff from Adams Regional EMS participated in a joint training with the lifeguards from the Gettysburg branch of the Hanover Area YMCA. There are numerous private swimming pools and open bodies of water in the Adams County area that are unguarded. This training helped our staff learn from the experts on how to effectively remove someone from a pool in the event of an emergency. This training also allowed us to practice integrating with the YMCA staff so that everyone could best help someone having an emergency in their pool. Topics covered included spinal stabilization in the water and how to safely remove someone with a spinal injury, how to rapidly extricate someone having a medical emergency, ways to prevent hypothermia in drowning victims, and an overview of emergency response procedures. 🏊‍♀️🛟

Adams Regional EMS is proud to announce our PA DOH-Approved Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) Course.

For every RN who has asked "What do I need to do to work in EMS?" This is your answer.

Course Details:
📋 PA DOH Approved — Course #1000062767
🗓 Start Date: July 30, 2026
📅 Schedule: Thursdays, 0800-1600 (one day per week) + 4 Saturdays for hands-on skills competency labs
⏱ 90 Educational Hours over ~14 weeks
💰 Tuition: $1,000
👥 Class Size: 6 minimum to run / 20 maximum

What's Included:
• Complete PHRN education covering airway management, pharmacology, cardiac care, trauma, and more
• Hazmat Awareness Certification
• PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) Certification
• Hands-on skills labs with competency testing on Saturdays
• Preparation for the NREMT ALS Cognitive and BLS Psychomotor examinations

Prerequisites:
• Current PA RN License
• Current BLS/CPR & ACLS Certification
• Background Clearances
• Completed Application

After completing this course and passing the NREMT exams, you will be eligible for PA PHRN certification, allowing you to function as an ALS provider on an ambulance with skills that go beyond the paramedic scope.

Pennsylvania needs more PHRNs. Your clinical expertise belongs in the field.
