Leadership looks like bringing an idea to the table and having the room listen. 🩵

Our Student Leaders from across InspireNOLA came together for a special luncheon with our CEO, Jamar McKneely, where they had the chance to connect with one another, share ideas, and pitch their own initiatives for the school year. 👏

But it wasn’t all business. Between the big ideas and conversations, our students had plenty of time to laugh, get to know each other, and build the kind of relationships that make leadership even more meaningful. 🥰

Because being a leader isn’t just about having a title. It’s about having a voice, bringing people together, and being willing to turn your ideas into action. ✨

And if this luncheon was any indication, our Student Leaders have plenty of ideas. 🔥

We can’t wait to see what they do with them. 👀

Because some games are more than games. They’re part of the legacy. 🦅

Some people teach. Some people become part of a city’s history. ✨

Today, the McDonogh 35 family came together to celebrate one of New Orleans’ most beloved educators, Ms. Sylvia Crier, with a parade in her honor. 🔥

And honestly, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate 62 years of educating the youth of New Orleans. 👏

For more than six decades, Ms. Crier has poured into generations of students, helping shape young people, and leaving a mark on the McDonogh 35 community that will last far beyond the classroom. 📚

Sixty-two years later, she’s still making an impact. And today, her McDonogh 35 family made sure she knew just how much she means to this city. 🦅

Ms. Crier, thank you for dedicating your life to our students and to New Orleans. Here’s to celebrating you today and the legacy you continue to build. ❤️💛

Learning looks a little different in every classroom. 📚

At Eisenhower, our students are learning, moving, exploring, and finding the ways that help them stay engaged throughout the day. ☀️

Across our classrooms, students are working through lessons, putting pencil to paper, using hands-on tools to make math concepts easier to see, and taking movement breaks when they need to reset before the next lesson. 🧠

Different ages. Different approaches. Same goal: helping every student stay engaged, build understanding and grow throughout the day. 💙

Because sometimes the best way to learn is to move, make it, see it, and do it. ✨

Keep rising, Eisenhower. 🦅

Friday night was about more than football. 🏈

For the first time since the revitalization of Morris F.X. Jeff Stadium & Park, the lights came on, the stands filled up, and our students took the field. 🔥

Before kickoff, we gathered with community leaders, educators, coaches and the family to officially dedicate the revitalization of the stadium and park. We were proud to be joined by our CEO Jamar McKneely, Congressman Congressman Troy A. Carter, Councilmember Freddie King III, Mayor Helena Moreno, Edna Karr Head of School Dr. Tomika Washington, OPSB District 4 Member Griffin Chantelle KaTrina, and NOLA-PS Superintendent dr.fulmore. 🤝

We also had a special moment recognizing the leaders who helped make this night possible, as Congressman Congressman Troy A. Carter, Councilmember Freddie King III and Mayor Helena Moreno were presented with their Edna Karr State Championship rings from the Cougars’ 2025 championship season. 🏆

Then came one of the most meaningful moments of the night: the dedication of the No. 5 jersey in honor of Tollette “Tonka” George. For years, Edna Karr has continued Tonka’s legacy by selecting a student-athlete to wear No. 5; carrying forward the leadership, sacrifice, and spirit that made him so special to the Karr community. 💜

And then, it was time to play. 😉

The Cougars opened the newly revitalized stadium with a 48-21 victory over Lafayette Renaissance Academy, while the Karr band and marching units brought the energy and the entire stadium showed up for our student-athletes. 🎉

A new chapter for Morris F.X. Jeff Stadium. A night full of history, pride, and Cougar spirit. 💛

And that rainbow? Definitely not a paid actor. 🌈

There’s something special about getting everyone in the same room. 🩵

This week, our K-8 schools welcomed families back for Back-to-School Nights, giving parents and teachers the chance to connect, ask questions, and get a closer look at what life will look like for their students this school year. ✨

Because a great school year starts with strong connections, between students, teachers and the families who support them every step of the way. 🤝

Here’s to a school year full of learning, growing and plenty more moments like these. 🥰
