MAY 7, 2024 STATEMENT OF IV WASTE, LLC
​The Mayor has made some bad decisions and shown poor business judgment since taking office, which has resulted in the wasting of millions of Kenner taxpayers’ dollars on garbage collection. Kenner’s residents were receiving reliable, quality services from IV Waste, but for political reasons, the Mayor forced an early end to IV Waste’s services. Instead of taking responsibility for his actions and poor fiscal decisions, the Mayor is now trying to blame IV Waste and Mr. Torres. The Mayor’s attacks are unfounded, and he knows it. The last time the Mayor made similar untrue public statements, IV Waste sent Kenner a public records request for all audits and reports about alleged overbilling by IV Waste, and we were told “there are none.” Mayor Glaser needs to stop spreading false information about IV Waste and own up to his mistakes.

As lawyers for the city of Kenner and IV Waste battle in court over a multi-million contracting dispute, arguments outside the courtroom are once again heating up.

🚨 NEW POLL NUMBERS ARE IN🚨

In a poll conducted by John Couvillon on February 1-2, Kenner voters gave high marks for garbage service provided by IV Waste: 80% give them a rating of “excellent” or “good” with a total of 91% rating IV Waste positively.

As for the garbage contract dispute, 53% believe IV Waste & Sidney Torres compared to 10% for Mayor Glaser.

For Kristi McKinney, George Branigan, & Brian Brennan on the Kenner City Council who switched their votes from support to opposition to IV Waste: 63% are less likely to support those three incumbents.

In summary, the extra cost of $1 million per year and the way that the garbage contract will be awarded to Yenni-affiliated Waste Pro does NOT have the support of Kenner voters.

Watching what your elected officials do on Thursday. Kenner Voters will have a final say on Election Day!

After multiple default letters sent each month for the 12 months of 2023 were met with no response and a consent judgment in our favor, IV Waste was forced to make the decision to exercise our option to terminate our contract due to a failure by Kenner Government to pay for services approved and delivered.

While we are sorry to leave Kenner by February 29, we are going to continue to inform the residents because you deserve to know the truth.

Dirty politics in Kenner Government is projected to increase costs to taxpayers of over $7 million in the next 6 years which would increase monthly bills compared to what Kenner had with IV Waste.
