While there were many promotions this weekend, we were privileged to have full ceremonies for two of our leaders moving into their next rank, and to welcome a new leader into the fold. Congratulations to MAJ Kevin Casey, CPT Drew Lege, and SGT Cody Sparks! Also, congratulations to all the Soldiers who made Specialist and Private First Class this weekend.

The 1-141 Field Artillery Battalion (Washington Artillery)’s 176th Annual “Pass in Review” scheduled for 10:00am on 16 November has been cancelled due to limitations in place as a result of the continued government shutdown.

Washington Artillery Veterans Association - WAVA and Washington Artillery Try Us’s joint wreath ceremony honoring the fallen troops of the battalion will still occur at 10:00am on 15 November at the Washington Artillery Monument in the Metairie Cemetery.

Due to the current operational tempo and unique circumstances this year, we will not be holding a Saint Barbara Celebration. We truly value the tradition and camaraderie this event represents, and we look forward to coming together again next year to celebrate properly.
