It was an honor to coordinate the meeting with H.E. Miloslav Stašek, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the U.S., the Hon. Jeff Landry, Governor of Louisiana, Mrs. Susan B. Bourgeois, Secretary of Louisiana Economic Development, and Jan Hladík, Head of Economic and Commercial Section at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C., to discuss trade and investment opportunities between Louisiana and the Czech Republic and to invite the Governor and Louisiana businesses to the 65th annual International Industrial Convention at BVV Trade Fairs Brno, the largest Exhibition Center in Central Europe, represented by Jan Kubata, CEO, and Lukáš Helan, Sales Director. We also appreciated our further discussions with Harrison Crabtree, Director of World Trade Center New Orleans and Michael Sawaya, President and CEO of New Orleans Convention Center, about our collaboration to support the growth of relationship and trade/investment opportunities between Louisiana and the Czech Republic. Are you a brewmaster or beer professional from the US or Canada? Are you interested in Czech lager and cooperation with Czechs who know how to brew and process it? There will be a crash course on Czech beer and brewing organized by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Toronto, Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, DC and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic on November 1 and 2!
➡️ Learn the theory and practice behind Czech lagers from Czech experts and brewers at a two-day online event. The theoretical first day will provide insight into history, technology, resources and equipment in the Czech brewing industry. Second day will offer an introductory course on the original Czech pour and will offer a guided rub of this year’s samples of the Czech hops by Bohemia Hop (collaboration with David Carriere / Hop & Stuff).

It was a huge honor to meet with Vitalii Tarasiuk, the Consul General of Ukraine, and Pavlo Moiseichenko, the Consul for Trade and Economic Cooperation, and celebrate the cooperation agreement between Port of New Orleans and Port of Odesa in Ukraine, and to discuss how Luisiana can help Ukraine now and once the war is over (hopefully soon) and assist with the efforts of rebuilding Ukraine.
