Today, I want to reflect on and honor the extraordinary life and legacy of Cecile Richards, a fierce advocate for reproductive rights, health equity, and justice.

Cecile’s tireless commitment to defending reproductive freedom extended far beyond her role at Planned Parenthood. She was a bold voice in the fight for gender equality, healthcare access, and social justice, inspiring countless individuals to join the movement for a fairer, more equitable world.

Cecile’s impact cannot be overstated. Her warmth, intellect, and passion touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her or witnessing her advocacy.

Though she is no longer with us, Cecile’s legacy lives on in the millions of lives she improved and the generations of activists she inspired. I will honor her memory by continuing the fight she so courageously led and by striving to build the world she envisioned—one where everyone has access to the care and rights they deserve.

Rest in power, Cecile. Your light will continue to guide us.

“Do we truly believe this narcissistic man who did not utter a single word of sympathy for the Palestinians in Gaza, and who is running his final campaign with no need to worry about backlash, would prioritize Middle East peace or follow through on any promises? It’s no secret that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is hoping for a Trump victory, believing it would grant him free rein to pursue his own agenda.”

I understand and support, the right to use your vote as protest. But to not vote or, worse, vote for Trump will condemn the Palestinians, and Ukrainians for that matter, to the imperialist takeover of authoritarian regimes. And condemn our democracy to the same.

I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I don’t want to see the same divisive thinking that destabilized the Middle East imported here.
