NAS JRB New Orleans Fire & Emergency Services is hiring.

We currently have an opening for Lead Firefighter (BLS/HazMat Tech), GS-8 in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. This is a chance to join a strong team at NAS JRB New Orleans. Applications are being accepted March 20, 2026 through March 26, 2026.

You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BLS/ HAZMAT TECH) in the NAS JRB NEW ORLEANS.

Good morning. We are only 5 weeks away from the 2026 Annual Louisiana Fallen Firefighter's Memorial ceremony. Please see the flyer for the event. We ask that you share it with your family, friends and department. This event is free and open to everyone whether in the fire service or not. For honor guards, departments and motorcycle groups (apparatus parade), please see the pertinent times for arrival. We hope you will join us as honor our heroes.
