Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve shares the treasures of south Louisiana through six park sites (all with free admission---see the list below). The park’s mission is to share and protect the area’s natural, historical, and cultural resources. - Chalmette Battlefield and Chalmette National Cemetery, 8606 West St. Bernard Hwy., Chalmette
- Barataria Preserve, 6588 Barataria Blvd., Marrero
- Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center, 314 Saint Mary St., Thibodaux
- Acadian Cultural Center, 501 Fisher Rd., Lafayette
