Tashlich is an Ashkenazi Jewish ritual that takes place in the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. In the ritual, we are asked to “cast off” that which no longer serves us, symbolically reflected by the scattering of breadcrumbs or rice paper into a flowing body of water.
