New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for burglaries and theft.

Wanted is Joseph Richardson (pictured), Black male, DOB 10/30/1960.

According to investigators, Joseph Richardson has been identified as being the perpetrator of crimes at multiple businesses in the 4200 and 4800 blocks of Chef Menteur Highway during the period of April to June of 2026.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with additional information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030. New Orleans Police are asking then public's assistance with identifying and locating a suspect wanted for auto theft and illegal possession of stolen property.

According to investigators, the pictured suspect was recorded on a surveillance camera in possession of the pictured grey-color 2025 Honda Accord. The vehicle was stolen from the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street on May 22, 2026.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The NOPD is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred in the early hours today (June 11, 2026) in the 4900 block of Saint Charles Avenue, where an unknown male operator of an electric bicycle is believed to have struck a curb and was thrown from the vehicle. The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased.

The NOPD is seeking to locate 17-year-old Trenton Reeves (pictured) who reportedly left his caretaker's residence last night (June 10) without permission and accompanied by the caregiver's adult son in the caregiver's vehicle, a brown Mercedes-Benz ML3 bearing Louisiana license plate CB01607. Reeves is reportedly diagnosed with a medical condition that renders him nonverbal and requires medication.

Today, the New Orleans Police Department celebrated Senior Police Officer Tyrone Mills for an extraordinary 49 years of dedicated service to the people of New Orleans.
In recognition of his unwavering commitment, leadership, and nearly five decades of service, Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick presented Officer Mills with a special retirement badge commemorating his distinguished career.
Adding to the celebration, Captain Christina Watson presented Officer Mills with gifts of appreciation from his final assignment, the Fourth District, honoring the lasting impact he made on his colleagues and the community he faithfully served.
Thank you, Officer Mills, for your sacrifice, and service. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of officers and residents alike.
